Renovation
Restoration | to | Redemption
Since 2002, over 50 homes in the Lincoln Mill area have been purchased. Extensive renovations renew these historic proper es in order to provide safe and affordable housing. Rent ranges from $300 to $375 per month, 60% lower than Huntsville’s average rental rate. Two additional buildings provide office space. We also have a community center, The Lincoln House, where residents gather together for fun, fellowship, and learning opportunities. Through one-on-one staff support and by providing holistic resources, families can become financially, mentally, and spiritually healthy.

Meet Dianara
Dianara and her daughter have lived in The Village Neighborhood for three years. Each year, our staff has watched Dianara grow spiritually, physically, emotionally, and financially. While living in The Village, she has participated in Lincoln's Matched Savings Program to save for a down payment. Through Lincoln Village Ministry's partnership with Habitat for Humanity, Dianara reached her goal of owning her own home. It is an honor to walk alongside Dianara and not only see her dreams come true, but also see God's dreams for her come true.
“I heard about Lincoln Village Ministry through a friend at church. I wanted to move to Lincoln, so I could learn how to be independent and not always rely on other people. I wanted a safe place where my daughter and I could develop and grow as a family.
Before moving to Lincoln, I had major trust issues. I felt like I was stuck and wasn’t growing into an independent adult. Lincoln was a safe place where my daughter and I could take me to heal and to grow. It’s impossible to grow if you don’t feel safe. I began to understand that God has a plan for us, and I didn’t have to stress about things. I have healed a lot.
My Lincoln neighbors became my family. I finally have a sense of belonging. We look after each other, talk with one another, and have dinner together. I realized there was more to life than just working and getting by. I wasn’t alone in my walk anymore.
Lincoln is truly a restart for my life.”
